I am passionate about healing, reconciliation, growth, and whole-hearted living. Having spent time counseling students at school, being a premarital and layperson counselor through my church, and walking through my own healing journey—I have decided to transition from being a high school English teacher to a Marriage and Family Therapist. Currently an MFT Trainee at Process Therapy Institute, I am hoping to help others cultivate the life they want—be it a more authentic self, a more resilient spirit, a more thriving marriage, or a more healed heart. I am also trained as a Christian layperson counselor, so I have experience offering faith-based counseling. When I’m not teaching, counseling, and attending graduate school, I enjoy performing improv theatre on the weekends,or puzzling through room-escapes. I guess that makes me one part teacher, one part counselor, one part performer, and one part nerd—hopefully the right amount of parts to be a part of your journey.
