The Process Model has been created over the past 27 years by Don and Carol Hadlock and has been taught to hundreds of licensed and pre-licensed therapists at the Process Therapy Institute and various universities in the Bay Area.

Overview
    The mirror training at Process Therapy Institute is an intensive psychotherapy training program where licensed MFTs, LCSWs, and other qualified psychotherapists can learn the Process Therapy model of therapy.. This model teaches ways to connect to and work from our inner truth while we maintain a position of therapeutic neutrality toward the client. It encourages us to develop an attitude of unconditional fascination for our work and for the human beings we treat. Inviting, following and working with process is taught and practiced.

The Format
    Each training meets a minimum of 3 hours each week. All therapists are licensed professionals. The instructor and participants in the program work together as a team. The first hour is used for training in the Process model. The next two 45 minute client sessions occur working with clients beind the two-way mirror. The third portion of the training is used for feedback and review. During a mirror session, the client is seen in a private room equipped with a two-way mirror. The therapist works with a client in front of the mirror and later observes another therapist's session from behind the mirror. During mirror sessions, assistance is given to the therapist through the use of a remote ear piece. All mirror sessions are videotaped. Constructive feedback is provided on the videotape during your session for your review at home.

The Clients
    Participants can bring their own clients or work with one another.

    12 weeks; 36 units; $360
This course meets the qualifications for 36 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board Of Behavioral Sciences. Provider# PCE231.

    The training is held on our San Francisco-South Bay Area campus in Los Gatos, California.
