Allyn Rauch is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice. She has over twenty-five years of experience working with couples, families, adults, and adolescents. She has been a facilitator for many groups, including a women's support group, couples communication, and parenting groups. Her groups and workshops provide a safe place to receive encouragement and emotional support. Currently, Allyn is offering a new group for caregivers. She brings over 3 years of personal experience to the group.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, Allyn was an elementary school teacher for seven years. While working in the school system, Allyn taught effective parenting skills to parents in an effort to encourage better communication between parent and child.
In her private practice she works with adolescents to become more self aware and able to make independent choices about their own life. She assists parents with the Love and Logic method of parenting, supporting them to become consultants rather than drill sergeants or hoverers.

Allyn also provides individual and group supervision for MFT interns and trainees.
Supervision enables interns to benefit from experienced consultation and receive relevant training while working with clients. Allyn has a talent for making supervision a fun learning experience. Through role play and enactments the intern has an opportunity to obtain practical skills working with clients.

Allyn received a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Santa Clara in June, 1983. She was involved in an additional two years intensive training program in the treatment of sexual abuse. In her practice she works with sexual abuse issues promoting the healing of childhood trauma including forgiveness, self-love and re-parenting.

Allyn has a special interest in working with women to encourage their potential and personal development; working with couples to enhance their relationships, increase intimacy and develop communication skills; and working with adolescents and parents to raise children who are self confident and motivated.
